balance is constant movement coming to stillness

"Yoga--and, I think, Kripalu in particular--is about exploring and really feeling how my body-mind works. I am really enjoying the journey, and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a greater sense of connection in their life." Zoe Barnett
family yoga
A family yoga class is a great way to come together, to build trust, and to make new discoveries about one another. The combination of two generations makes it more fun for everyone. Many of the postures have animal names; imagine where that can go! Everyone in the family can enjoy a yoga practice to develop strength, coordination, concentration, and strategies for anxiety. Yoga offers children a sense of accomplishment as they discover the range of their bodies. For children, yoga’s physical and mental benefits are the same as for adults. Children of these fast-paced, modern times can turn to a yoga mat as space to chill out and have fun. In a yoga practice a child can't be wrong (alignment is for safety). Those who might usually shy away from sports have a physical outlet in which they can succeed and shine. Everybody can do it, and that brings confidence as well as encouraging a child's curiosity about doing things they never thought they could. Yoga is a complement to other sports; yoga works on lengthening all the muscle groups, yoga balances the body right to left and top to bottom. Yoga helps to prevent injury and enhance performance. Yoga can improve academic life, as children will learn to explore inner obstacles, cultivate confidence, and resilience. Guideline - Classes are encouraged for children aged 9 years and upwards.
partner yoga
Partner yoga can be practiced with your friend, lover - even your child. It is a new step in the evolution of yoga; the practice blends mutually beneficial postures, conscious breathing and most of all playfulness and fun.
The postures are designed to improve balance, strength and flexibility as well as increase the level of trust and communication between you and your partner. Partner yoga is perfect for anyone - a beginner or an experienced yoga practitioner - who is interested in increasing fitness, releasing tension, strengthening relationships/friendships and having a good time. So find a partner and explore the possibilities.
